Our Uniting Climate: Faith in a Better Future Conference was held on Saturday 11 May 2024. It featured a Uniting Church and community members passionate about climate action and many incredible speakers and workshops.

What happened

Here are the highlights:

  • Over 140 Uniting Church members and allies attended in-person and online
  • The Moderator’s address powerfully reminding us the church calls us to take action on climate change
  • Keynote address from Miriam Lyons on the urgency of taking action, why it is within our power to win ambitious climate solutions and the role we can play to change hearts and minds.
  • Young Changemakers panel with Grace Vegesana, Hayden Charles, Raul Sugunananthan, and Rosaline Parker
  • Our 12 workshops tackled a range of topics including First Nations justice, Pacific Climate Leadership, health impacts and issues confronting regional communities. Find all the resources below!
